鶹Ƶ Invites the Public to “Home Kan Der: Pak Thong Chai in the Heart of the City” — A Cultural Festival Highlighting Local Heritage

To build on the success of the Home Kan Der cultural market held on 28 March 2025 and to preserve and promote the cherished tradition of Pak Thong Chai, which will take place on the full moon day of the twelfth lunar month, 鶹Ƶ warmly invites the public to attend a special event celebrating this local heritage.

Organized under the research initiative titled “Ecosystem Development for Festival Economy by Uplifting Local Traditional Event “Pak Thong Chai” towards National Level and International Awareness”, the event is supported by the Program Management Unit on Area-Based Development (PMU A) of the National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA), in collaboration with Nakhon Thai District Office.

The event, titled “Home Kan Der: Pak Thong Chai in the Heart of the City”, will take place on Wednesday, 25 June 2025, from 11:00 a.m. onward at Central Plaza Phitsanulok. The official opening ceremony will begin at 5:30 p.m.

The festival will feature a wide range of engaging activities, including:

      • A comprehensive exhibition on the Pak Thong Chai tradition
      • Showcases of local arts, crafts, and cuisine from Nakhon Thai
      • Live performances of traditional music and folk arts
      • Interactive DIY workshops such as eco-print leaf glassware, stencil printing, and silk screen printing using natural dyes
      • A special presentation of 30 prototype products co-created by local residents and professional designers

This event offers a unique opportunity for the public to experience the beauty of Nakhon Thai’s cultural identity and to take part in the collective effort to elevate Pak Thong Chai into one of Thailand’s significant cultural festivals recognized on the national and international stage.
